Spectral Lamp Power Supply and Mount

Introduction:

The PASCO Model SF-9288 Spectral Lamp Power Sup-

ply and Mount is designed for use with Osram 9 pin DIN

base, 21 mm diameter spectral lamps. The Mercury lamp

(SF-9282) is available from PASCO scientific.

Cadmium Spectral Lamp SF-9290

Helium Spectral Lamp SF-9291

Neon Spectral Lamp SF-9292

Changing spectral lamps is easy, so a single power supply

can be used to power any one of the Osram lamps.

To use the Spectral Lamp Power Supply and Lamp:

➀ Insert a spectral lamp as shown on the back of this

page.

➁ Plug the round, three-pronged plug from the lamp

mount into the socket on the front of the power supply.

➂ Plug the power supply power cord into a grounded

107-128 VAC, 60 Hz or 206-242 VAC, 50 Hz outlet.

(See label on rear of unit).

➃ Flip the ON/OFF Switch on the front of the power

supply to ON.

➄ Allow about five minutes warm up time.

If, at any time, the lamp fails to come on, check the fuse

on the rear panel of the power supply. If the fuse is

blown, replace only with a similarly rated fuse:

Fuse: 2 Amp

➤ NOTE: To insert or change the spectral lamp,

follow the procedure shown on the back of this page.

NOT REMOVE COVER ON UNIT. NO USER SER-

VICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. REFER SERVICING TO

QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL.

The lightning flash with arrowhead, within

an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert

the user of the presence of uninsulated

“dangerous voltage” within the product’s

enclosure that may be of sufficient magni-

tude to constitute a risk of electric shock to

persons.

The exclamation point within an equilat-

eral triangle is intended to alert the user

of the presence of important operating

and maintenance (servicing) instruc-

tions in the literature accompanying the

appliance.

Always unplug before

removing cover of lamp.

Loosen
