Introduction

The PASCO OS-8538 Optics Bench Connectors are de-

signed to be used with the PASCO Model OS-8515 Basic

Optics System. In particular, you can use one set of con-

nectors to connect two Optics Benches (part of the OS-

8515) together. A connector consists of a bridge piece

with two thumbscrews. The bridge piece fits into the T-

slot on either side of the Optics Bench.

Using the Connectors

To connect two Optics Benches together, first loosen the

two thumbscrews on each bridge piece by turning the

thumbscrews counter-clockwise. Do not remove the

thumbscrews from the bridge pieces.

Put one end of each bridge piece into the T-slots on both

sides of one end of the first Optics Bench. Position the

bridge pieces so that one-half of each piece extends be-

yond the end of the Optics Bench. Tighten the thumb-

screw on the part of the bridge piece that is in the T-slot.

Align the ends of the bridge pieces with the T-slots on the

second Optics Bench and slide the bench onto the pieces

until the two benches meet. Tighten the thumbscrews to

hold the two ends together.

Limited Warranty

PASCO scientific warrants this product to be free from

defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one

year from the date of shipment to the customer. PASCO

will repair or replace, at its option, any part of the product

which is deemed to be defective in material or workman-

ship. This warranty does not cover damage to the product

caused by abuse or improper use. Determination of

whether a product failure is the result of a manufacturing

defect or improper use by the customer shall be made

solely by PASCO scientific. Responsibility for the return

of equipment for warranty repair belongs to the customer.

Equipment must be properly packed to prevent damage

and shipped postage or freight prepaid. (Damage caused

by improper packing of the equipment for return ship-

ment will not be covered by the warranty.) Shipping costs

for returning the equipment, after repair, will be paid by

PASCO scientific.
